PHP Team Lead


Role Description

This is a remote and flexible working hours, full-time permanent position for a PHP Lead located in Switzerland. The PHP Lead will be responsible for overseeing all phases of PHP software development, including planning, implementation, testing, and deployment. This role involves guiding a team of developers, troubleshooting and resolving technical challenges, enhancing code quality, and ensuring adherence to best practices. The PHP Lead will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to align development efforts with business objectives and ensure optimal performance of web applications.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of PHP, MySQL, and object-oriented programming principles
  • Experience in front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Proficiency in software development tools and frameworks such as PHP, Laravel, Symfony, cron, DBMS, Git, etc. 
  • A B2 level in English is required to support your integration (technical documentation).  French is a plus; if you don’t speak French, you must enroll in a course organised and monitored by us.
  • Building Kubernetes operators with Operator SDK / kubebuilder.
  • Web infrastructure technologies and tools (vhost, DNS, SSL, FTP, SSH, rsync, etc.).
  • TypeScript and/or Angular.
  • Docker / Kubernetes.
  • Automation (CI/CD).
  • Open-source contributions/side projects.
  • Prior experience in developing scalable web applications is a plus
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
