This hands-on workshop is designed for small organizations that need custom software solutions, but cannot justify the cost and complexity of paying agencies to do them, or data risks of large US-based platforms.
KIERO is a non-profit association with the best interest of the swiss economy at heart. Should you find it difficult to mantain or create the software you will learn to create here, our volunteers would gladly assist you with the goal of either getting a job in the future at your company or getting paid for their consulting expertise.

This means that when you learn how to use artificial intelligence with us and pay for our services, you are also directly supporting the association’s mission and objectives. Which ultimately aim at helping you as a person or as a company.
Discover our projects DonateParticipants will learn how to design, build, and maintain their own lightweight AI-powered applications using tools such as Google Workspace (free and paid), automation platforms, and modern low-code/no-code approaches. We focus on free solutions but do use some paid solutions to an extent. The focus is not on theory, but on practical implementation that works in everyday operations with the asssitance of Artificial Intelligence.
The workshop demonstrates how organizations can:
- Develop internal tools without full-time developers
- Automate repetitive administrative and operational tasks
- Reduce long-term software and license costs
- Retain control over their data and processes
- Decrease dependency on large technology providers that do not guarantee data sovereignty
This workshop is particularly suited for:
- Small law firms
- Farms and agricultural businesses
- Craft and trade businesses
- Associations and non-profits
- Small service companies with specific workflows
- KMU and even large corporations
The session will be held in English to enable participation from an international audience and our volunteer contributors.
Individual consulting and follow-up sessions are also available in German in Switzerland and Germany for organizations that prefer to work in their local language.
No prior programming knowledge is required. Participants leave with a clear understanding of what they can realistically build themselves — and where professional support may still be useful.

In diesem praxisorientierten Workshop zeigen wir, wie kleine Organisationen mit überschaubarem Aufwand eigene KI-gestützte Anwendungen entwickeln, betreiben und anpassen können – ohne hohe laufende Kosten oder Abhängigkeit von großen US-Technologiekonzernen.
Die Teilnehmenden lernen anhand konkreter Beispiele, wie sich mit Google-Tools, Automatisierung und Low-Code-Ansätzen individuelle Softwarelösungen umsetzen lassen, die genau zu den eigenen Arbeitsabläufen passen.
Der Workshop richtet sich insbesondere an:
- Kleine Kanzleien
- Landwirtschaftliche Betriebe
- Handwerksunternehmen
- Vereine und gemeinnützige Organisationen
- Kleine Betriebe mit spezifischen administrativen Prozessen
Die Veranstaltung findet auf Englisch statt, um auch internationale Teilnehmende und freiwillige Mitarbeitende einzubeziehen.
Beratungsgespräche und individuelle Begleitung bieten wir gerne auch auf Deutsch an.
Es sind keine technischen Vorkenntnisse erforderlich. Ziel ist es, realistisch aufzuzeigen, was Organisationen selbst umsetzen können – und wo externe Unterstützung sinnvoll bleibt.
